Fabrication

procedure. The things required by the artisans in manufacturing a hand blown
glass bead include molten glass, a blowing rod, fire torch, and a few
conventional tools. First of all the craftsman selects a glass rod and heat
until a molten ball is visible in it. Then, he takes the blowing rod coated
with a release compound and drops this molten glass ball on one end of the
blowing tube. Thereafter, he blow through the other end of the tube while
rotating it to mold the molten glass ball into the desired shape. After
achieving the desired bead size, the artisan stop rotating the blowing rod.
Then the bead is filled with molten glass and left overnight for cooling.
After the bead cools it is carved into the desired shape and adorned with
different colors.
