Process
The process of making fused glass beads is by taking sheets of glass and attaching them or "fusing" them together. Heat from a kiln adheres the glass pieces together. The more heat, the closer together the class becomes. At lower temperatures, the heat can make the glass pieces stick together. At higher temperatures, the glass pieces become completely fused into each other. The beads become one, smooth piece of glass.
Popular Forms
Before proceeding to create stunning fused glass beads, designers generally make a color graph that is used as a reference piece when planning out a design. The various colors of fused glass beads can look different depending on the light in which these beads are viewed or the temperature and length of time they are heated in the kiln.
