Glass Bead Necklace Glass beads jewelry is quite in vogue these days, and why shouldn't it be, after all it is the choice of the modern generation. Most of the teenage girls possess a craving for fashion, and they found glass beads jewelry as the most appropriate option to satiate their desire for fashion. This jewelry has literally revolutionized the whole idea of fashion owing to its fascinating appeal, economy of cost, and ease of making. These jewelry items come in a plethora of designs and are quite affordable in comparison to other jewelry types.

Although a majority of glass beads ornaments are admired the world over, but glass beads necklaces are one of the most magnificent and demanded varieties of glass beads jewelry. Women of all age groups consider these necklaces as a perfect ornament to ornate their neckline. Many women like customized necklaces or they want to prepare them on their own. It is not difficult to prepare your own glass bead necklace. Here, we are giving four simple steps, following which you can make a beautiful glass bead necklace at home:

(1) Arrange Beads and Other Materials: First of all, you are required to arrange the materials that will be needed for making a glass bead necklace. These materials primarily include, glass beads of your choice (count depends upon the length of your necklace); few spacer beads; beading wire/thread (preferable to take a little extra than the length of your necklace); a towel; craft glue; a pair of scissors; a pair of pliers; one clasp; and, a bead needle (optional).

(2) Secure the End of Beading Wire: Knot one of the ends of the beading wire and cut away the excess thread using scissors. Take care that the knot should be at the end of the wire, but it should not be too close to the end, so that there emerges a risk of unknotting.

(3) Start Stringing the Beads Carefully: Place all of your beads on a towel to prevent them from rolling here and there. Now, take the unknotted end of your beading wire and thread it carefully through the beads; bead needle can also be used for this purpose. Remember to put one spacer bead after two three glass beads (as per the design). Continue this process until the beads cover the whole length of the beading wire. The knot made in the thread earlier should rest firmly against the hole of the last bead in the series.

(4) Give the Final Touch: Finally, when all the beads get strung on the beading wire, apply a little craft glue on the knot, which you have fixed against the last bead earlier, and allow it to dry for some time. Now, join both ends of the beading wire with the help of a clasp and fasten the clasp tightly by using the pliers. Trim off unwanted portion of the beading thread, if any. Your necklace is ready to use!

You can mix and match the beads to create an exuberant combination. There are variety of glass beads available in the market such as silver foil beads, crystal glass beads, fused glass beads, vintage beads, etc.
