- Fire the furnace to around
1000 degree Fahrenheit and heat the beads. Gradually increase the
temperature of the furnace upon heating the beads.
- Choose any size of rod and dip it into the grease or sludge. This
prevents the bead from sticking to the rod. Dry the grease, the rod will
now form a hole in the bead.
- Put on a safety glass which is meant for using while doing
glass-work. Heat the glass rod over the flame and turn continuously. A
spot will form at the end of the glass rod. Wrap the spot around the
heated simple rod.
- Heat the glass and the rod over the flame and shape the glass with
graphite paddle. After achieving the desired shape, remove the glass
from the flame.
- Bring down the temperature of the bead by reducing the heat of
furnace. Put the rod and the bead in the furnace for hardening. Keep
aside the bead overnight.
- Now finally, put the rod and the bead in water to
remove the sludge from the rod. Separate the bead from the rod and clean
the bead hole.
