Process

For heating the glass, the flame is kept in moderate form, neither very hot nor to cool. With the formation of the letter shaped beads, gravity will help. While heating, both the front and back portion of the beads should be brought in the flame, so that the entire surface can get uniform amount of heat. Merely turning the bead in the flame should be averted, because this is only suitable for round beads, not for the alphabet beads. The idle mandrel size is 1/8", because mandrel of this size allows a cable or chain to pass through the bead. Some specific alphabetical beads are tough to prepare (like capital "K" and "B").
